Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a ministry outreach Linden Heights provides each summer to educate children about God. Last summer more than 60 children participated in Linden Heights’ VBS!
In addition, a five-day Bible study based on a popular television series or movie meets for youth and adults during each summer’s Vacation Bible School.

At Linden Heights VBS is a five-day fun and learning experience where children up through fifth grade:

  • Learn about faith through fun, age-appropriate activities.
  • Find life lessons help each child learn how to be a good person and a friend to others.
  • Get a feel for camp without having to go away overnight.
  • Meet new friends who share their beliefs.

Linden Heights’ VBS meets for half day for one week each summer. VBS welcomes all children through fifth grade. Church membership is not required.

Bible Studies

The people of Linden Heights, in the Methodist tradition, use the Bible to reflect on our scriptural and theological heritage. We strive to express faithfully the witness we find there in our daily lives.  We study the Bible, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, seeking to learn both the original intention of the text and its meaning for our own faith and life today.
These study groups are currently meeting at Linden Heights:

  • A look at and discussion of Movies of Faith, Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Parlor. On September 25 this group begins Invitation to Genesis, a ten week consideration of the very first book of the Bible.
  • The Men’s Bible Study, currently studying the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament), Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. This Disciple Fast Track study leads us through the books of Genesis through Malachi in just 12 weeks!

Everyone is invited to join as these groups consider what the Bible says for our daily lives!
